A CSV should not need Excel

Opening a CSV to check one column turns into a project: the spreadsheet reformats your dates, strips leading zeros from postcodes and IDs, and offers to save in its own format on the way out. A viewer that treats a CSV as text keeps every value exactly as it was written.

Leading zeros and long numbers survive

Every cell here stays a string. Product codes keep their zeros, order IDs stay whole rather than turning into scientific notation, and dates keep whatever format the source system wrote. Nothing is helpfully converted behind your back.

Sorting, search and edits in the same view

Sort by any column to find the outliers, search across every column at once to find the row you are chasing, then type directly into the cell to fix it. Sorting and filtering are display only, so an edit lands on the row you clicked no matter how the table is arranged.

Your file stays on your machine

Parsing, editing and export all happen in the tab. The file is never uploaded, which is why this works for customer lists and exports you would not paste into a random online converter.
