Connect ManyPI to ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects through Developer Mode, on the web, with a ManyPI API key. OpenAI decides which plans get Developer Mode, so check yours in OpenAI's help center.
ChatGPT doesn't do browser sign-in for MCP servers yet, so it authenticates with a ManyPI API key.

Enable developer mode
In ChatGPT, go to SettingsConnectorsAdvancedDeveloper mode (requires a paid plan).

Add the connector
Under Connectors, click Create, name it ManyPI, paste the server URL, and set the Authorization header:

Set the auth header
Add a custom header so ChatGPT authenticates every call:

Replace mpi_your_api_key with a key from your workspace. There, the key is filled into every snippet for you.

Can ChatGPT do lead generation?
Partly. ChatGPT is good at defining an ideal customer, researching a market and writing the emails. What it can't do on its own is give you real, current contact details, check that an address can receive mail, or run a sequence. Those need a data source and a sending tool behind it.
What happened to ChatGPT agent mode?
OpenAI removed agent mode from ChatGPT in early August 2026 and pointed users to ChatGPT Work instead. Tutorials that show ChatGPT clicking through websites to build a lead list describe a feature that's no longer there.
Can ChatGPT find email addresses?
Not reliably. Without a data source it predicts what an address probably looks like, often first.last@company. Some guesses will be right, and the ones that bounce hurt the domain you send from. Always verify before sending.
How does the ManyPI connector work in ChatGPT?
You add ManyPI's MCP server as a connector and pick it from the tools menu in a chat. When you ask for leads, ChatGPT calls ManyPI, which searches a 600M+ lead database and the live web, finds the decision makers and verifies their addresses, then returns them to the chat and your leads table.
