Maintaining a custom script for fifty different sites is a maintenance problem you chose. A config-driven approach separates the logic, which is the scraper, from the definition, which is the selectors. This writes the definitions in clean JSON.
Relative selection
The key to scraping a list, a catalogue or a news feed, is relative selection: one parent selector for the card, then short child selectors for the title and the price. This format enforces that rather than leaving it to discipline.
Portable configuration
The structure is generic enough to adapt to Apify, Scrapy, Puppeteer or your own engine. It is a blueprint for the extraction task, not a binding to one runner.
